Mini Monday | Banpresto TenSura World Collectable Figure Vol. 2 Milim Nava

I rarely collect figures for female characters as I've only been watching shounen anime but Milim Nava, along with Shizue Izawa are among the few ones that I have in my small collection. I wanted to get the Otherworlder line for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime released by Banpresto but I'm currently focusing on pre-ordering Nendoroid so they just had to wait. Although one EXQ Figure for Rimuru Tempest is on the way so I'd be sure to update you guys on that sometime in September.

I guess that's all of it! I'll see you same time on this segment next week! Stay home and safely!

Stacked Saturday | Banpresto Q Posket Demon Slayer A Versions

Now these are the completed set of Q Posket lineups for Demon Slayer anime by Banpresto... as of June, 2021! Of course, for July's release which is Shinobu Kocho is still on its way so do stay tuned for the upcoming reviews on these sometime next month or October depending on my pre-order shipment.

My original plan of merely collecting the B version with sepia colour got crushed thanks to the fiery colour tone on Kyoujurou Rengoku's A version so I fully blame him for that. Still. these are all worth to collect in my opinion because just look at each and every of them! So cute!

Log | Electric Turntable

I've been wanting to get a turntable to create more videos for my Instagram and finally got a decent one from Shopee! Delivery took me less than 2 weeks so that's considerably good for us East Malaysians.

The item arrived nice and safely! Thanks to the seller who reminded me to peel off the plastic cover. I totally would've just let it be not knowing I can take the cover off.

Featured here Veldora Tempest! By the way, have you guys watched That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime? Second season was just readily available on Netlfix so I might start watching that soon after I've finished the first season on IQIYI. So that's just about it! See you guys on my next post!

Talk Tuesday | Keeping My Anime Figures Clean

Cleaning my anime figures is supposedly a task to be done every few weeks but I'm not going to lie as when I'm too occupied with my schedules and whatnot, a month could've gone by without me cleaning them.  Even though I live in smoke-free apartment, I'm supposed to do it at least once a month to keep them looking nice and fresh and away from judgement! Hah!

Anyway, while I usually just brush away the dusts with old makeup brushes, I always wipe off the bases with soft, fluffy towel that I've gotten from Daiso (man, I miss that 200-yen store!) to remove traces of prints. I'd be sanitising them with disinfectant spray after my relatives came to play and then let them sit for a good minute before wiping them off with fresh towels.

How about you guys? How often do you clean your anime figures? Let me know by leaving comments down below.

... and swords-woman of course! I'm not gonna lie, these figures take so much space but they're just too cool to be kept in a box!

Tell me who's your favourite swordsmen character? ⚔️⚔️

Stacked Saturday | Funko Pop! My Hero Academia First Wave

Just checking in with you guys with my current lineup for the first wave of My Hero Academia's Funko Pop! animation. Of course, I'm still missing the Grails for this wave which are #250 Tenya Iida and #253 Ochaco. With Tenya being a vaulted Common Pop! and Ochaco that comes with SDCC sticker or the Chase version in Metallic, I don't think I can afford their current prices of over RM2K just for 3 figures... maybe with 12 instalments? LOL

Do you have anime collectibles? Let me know by leaving comments down below and have a lovely weekend ahead!

Oriental Treasures - Mid-Autumn Delicacy at Hilton Kota Kinabalu

Hilton hotels in Malaysia launched its national mooncake series, Oriental Treasures, with an enticing array of traditional baked varieties of classic and modern flavours - a celebration of culinary craftsmanship, fine quality and exquisite flavours. To top it as a festive centrepiece, this year’s national mooncake box design pays homage to the core of Chinese heritage.

Embellished in imperial red, the premium square box features a noble pair of red-crowned cranes amongst sacred clouds. Characteristically celestial, the golden full moon illuminates the scene, much like the celebrated baked mooncakes during Mid-Autumn festivities. The ornate die-cut window pane, inspired by the moon windows of Oriental architecture, offers a peek to the individual matte-finishing gold and red receptacles housing its respective mooncakes.

As reunions and rituals take a different form this year, the mooncakes serve as a reminder to go back to basics. Eugene Oelofse, National Marketing Communications Director says, “The world is changing, cultures evolving, but a customary ritual remains. Mooncakes have always been a festive souvenir, meant to be gifted and savoured in the fullest and brightest of Mid-Autumn moonlight. Let’s celebrate treasured moments joint by this festive delicacy, with loved ones near and especially those afar”.

Make it a gift to behold with our medley of traditional baked mooncake flavours, including the classics Pure Lotus, White Lotus, Pandan Lotus, Red Bean and Mixed Nuts. Throwback Thursday | My First Funko Pop!

It hasn't been that long since I've started collecting Funko Pop! Animation for My Hero Academia but here'a a throwback to my first purchase ever which is Todoroki Enji as known as Endeavor!

... not sure if my dad is reading this but he's somehow like Endeavor too but we're all working our ways into fixing broken things in our own family as well. We're all human and I've stopped putting my parents on pedestal sometime ago and started looking at them as humans too but that's not saying I respect them less than before. In fact, I respect them more than ever as I learned about their past mistakes and hopefully I won't be lead astray as I'm still finding my way, struggling to be a proper adult.

Talk Tuesday | Funko Pop! Protectors

While I'm taking it slow with collecting Banpresto prize figures for My Hero Academia given that I'm merely waiting for my July, August and September pre-orders supposedly arriving in October, I've started collecting more Funko Pop! for this animation. Now that I'm halfway through my checklist, I've got more than 20 in my collection so I'm in the middle of rearranging them next to my Detolf glass cabinet and started to notice more and more of the dents on the boxes.

Of course, I've started collecting for my own self-satisfaction but I'm also thinking of investing in several expensive items from the lineup therefore the first thing I need when it comes to that is protection for these babies! I've received several recommendations from the #funkopopmalaysia community and decided to get my first batch of protectors from Gotcha Pops; Malaysian-based Shopee seller.

My order was processed, shipped and arrived to my East Malaysian address via J&T within 4 days which is pretty amazing! The seller used a box and packet lined with air bubbles so the items were nice and secured.

If you're such a newbie like me, remember to peel off the plastic cover of the protector! I was wondering for a good minute of why the protector wasn't clear as pictured on the store? I'd start peeling from the back side of the protector if I were you.

Once unfold, the protector sits nice on a flat surface like that unlike low quality protector which tends to have curvy top and bottom that could lead the Pop!s to fall over once stacked on top of each other. Now that I think about it, each Pop! isn't that heavy so that's why I decided to go for this kind of protector.

Noticed the reinforced grooved edges so each unfolding session of the protector takes like a minute especially with the auto-locking base but remember to not fold the lid outwards in order to not damage the lid.

Took me about half an hour to unfold the whole set of 20 pieces and after inspecting each and every protector, I've discovered several with minor defects.

After a pleasant exchange of information and clear photos with the seller, he agreed either to refund the amount for the damaged goods or simply replace and include them in my next purchase. Knowing that my whole collection is more than 20 and all of them in need of protectors, I decided with getting the damaged ones to be replaced.

The top view where you can see the embossed logo of the protector brand.

As you can see above, the top part is quite flat indeed so I have no problem stacking them against a wall so far.

The auto-locking base slightly converges inward so that gives a slight room for the minimal curvy part on some protectors.

For now, I only placed 5 of my Funko Pop! in the protectors as I already reviewed them here so definitely check them out! I'm going to take more photos of the ones I haven't reviewed yet before I can place them in their protectors and sealing them off for good. By the way, check out my unboxing video down below and make sure to follow my Facebook Page for more video contents!

So what do you think of this brand of collectible protector? Supposedly it does have that UV protection to reduce the chances of damage by sun rays but I only have them for literally a day so I really can't tell that now so I'd be sure to check in with you guys again maybe in about 3 months?

I guess that's all from me so I'll be seeing you guys on my next post! Stay home and safe!

Mini Monday | Banpresto Q Posket Demon Slayer Giyu Tomioka

Inspired from some materials on my beauty blog, I hereby announce the beginning of another segment in this blog #TGLBMiniMonday where I'll be sharing about the mini (5 to 7 cm) or as we called it among the figure collector community, chibi; smaller version or sometimes on their own and style of anime figures.

To be frank, I didn't know that Giyu was supposed to come out in its regular-sized 14cm Q Posket figure back in May so I went ahead and bought the Petit ones sometime in April after I've gotten Zenitsu in Sepia colour. I've also pre-ordered the rest of volumes 3, 4 and 5 of the Q Posket Petit for Demon Slayer featuring all the nine Pillars with volume 3 already released end of last month that includes Obanai, another Giyu and Muiichiro.

What do you think of the Petit version? Do you think it's better to just collect Banpresto World Collection Figure as it offers much more characters or the Petit ones are just too cute to pass? Let me know by leaving comments down below.

Shelfie Sunday | Izuku "Deku" Midoriya

You guys know that I'm a big fan of Deku, right? I'm just putting this here before updating this corner as I just unboxed another two of his figures from older releases of Banpresto. I'm hunting for more Deku figures - yes, including his Funko Pop! for you Pop!sters out there so definitely stay tuned for more!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Stay home and safely!

Stacked Saturday | Banpresto Q Posket Demon Slayer Giyu Tomioka

Finally, after waiting for more than three months since its released; six months since I've placed my pre-order, Banpresto Q Posket figures for Demon Slayer character, Giyu Tomioka have arrived to my door! Supposedly, both of the figures are released back in May but there's multiple delay with the shipment hence I only got them early this week.

Anyway, I also got Kanao Tsuyuri's figure too from the same line that was supposedly released back in June but I'm going to wait for the sepia version to arrive first before posting them in here so definitely stay tuned for the upcoming updates.

Enjoy  the rest of your weekend!

Talk Tuesday | Banpresto Japanese vs. Asian

So a fellow anime figure collector asked me about the difference between the authentic Banpresto Japan version and the Asian version and physically, there is no difference when it comes to the figures itself as all of Banpresto figures are made in China; pretty sure I've heard only Gundam figures, model kits, etc. are made in Japan if we're talking about Bandai Spirits Co. Ltd. products.

The differences I'm going to point out today are the box packaging in case you're wondering the one that you're holding in your hands are not authentic or simply just meant for Japanese or Asian market. Of course, the Japan version of Banpresto figures are supposedly can be obtained from the crane machines that are located literally everywhere along the streets of Akihabara (or any part of Japan) hence why these figures are called as Prize figures but I know for sure that you can directly purchase them from local resellers.

As for us figure collectors living outside Japan, Banpresto have local partner stores scattered all over Asian region which you guys can actually see the list at the bottom of the box itself and I've been getting my figures almost exclusively from official partner stores to ensure my money went straight to Bandai Spirits company. Yes, I don't support the bootleg or counterfeit sellers and community but if you do then don't mind me and keep doing you.

Now, as you can see in the above photo, there is no difference when it comes to the front side of the boxes, right? Except for the indicator that there's only 1 version of the figure released for this figure; unlike some of their figures that have monochrome version for those custom figure enthusiasts out there, the designs are basically the same.

The same goes for the back sides of the boxes. Other than more wordings on the Japan version, the designs are the same as well.

There is no difference to the design at the sides of the box either.

Now, this is where you can see the difference. Look at the top of the boxes, while the original Japan version has that JAIA PRIZE blue logo; pretty sure it's a crane machine company or brand along with the TOHO Co. Ltd logo, the Asian version has a barcode on right and a round, hologram MediaLink sticker placed on top of the TOHO Co. Ltd. logo.

At the bottom of the boxes, while the original Japan version has bunch of information all printed in Japanese, the Asian version has information printed in English including the manufacturing date.

So I guess that's all for today's talk! This is the first post on this #TGLBFigureTalks so definitely do stay tuned for more! I also have received several other figures from the Japan market via Facebook resellers so I'd be sure to keep you guys updated. See you on my next post! #staysafe

Shelfie Sunday | Banpresto Figure Colosseum for My Hero Academia

God knows how much I'd struggle trying to complete this Figure Colosseum collection from Banpresto for My Hero Academia anime. I've started collecting figures back in April and began my hunting for this figure line sometime in May as I've learned that these are among of the earliest figures released Banpresto and sculpted by competitors in 2019 Banpresto Figure Colosseum.

I've had All Might (the latest one being released for the line which came out back in January), Deku, Todoroki, Bakugo, Iida, Tomura for couple months before I finally found a Banpresto Malaysia partner store that managed to restock Toga and a Carousell seller who wanted to let go his whole My Hero Academia figure collection that include Dabi. After merely couple of weeks, both Toga and Dabi safely arrived yesterday therefore completes this collection.

I planned to do reviews for The Amazing Heroes figures also from My Hero Academia anime for the upcoming weeks as I've teased you guys early last month, I'm going to post unboxing videos on my Facebook page as part of my first series that I'll directly update in there so do Like and Follow for latest updates, okay!

I guess that's all of it! I'll see you guys on my next post!
